This December holiday has been just like the past three Decembers. Hectic schedule, no time for breaks, waking up every day feeling sore and tired and in need of more sleep. And before I know it, holidays are almost over, and I will be thrown back into school with no proper rest, and only more fatigue accumulated.
Sometimes I wish I could put everything down and just rest. But it seems like I've forgotten how to, or that life has disintegrated into a needy chase of self-improvement for me. And that every second spent doing nothing is a waste of time and breath.
But when tomorrow comes, I want to be able to make this promise to myself: To be able to make time for enough sleep and rest, for proper lunches and dinners, for lazy afternoons or evenings spent doing nothing in particular. Because I'm tired of rushing from place to place, of trying to fit as many things into my day and night as possible, of packed schedules that run back-to-back, of not even having the time to sit down to have a proper meal. I've had enough of all these and I've had enough of this life. But it's okay, because life doesn't have to be that way, and though bad habits may die hard, I'm sure they will with enough perseverance.
Hoping that this last day of 2015 will also be the last day that I hold on to these habits. And may 2016 be a better year for everyone as we strive to become better people (:
signing out.
